Glass Check
Put quite simply, Glass Check's role is to inspect and measure new glass installed by a glass company following a breakage. The majority of glass companies do the right thing; however our experience by audit has uncovered a number of activities:
- Fitting a thinner glass than that specified on their invoice
- Fitting glass not in accordance with Australian Standards 1288-2006
- Inflating the measurements of the new glass
- Inflating the cost of the glass
- Claiming for windows which are then not replaced
We complete an onsite inspection where we measure the thickness as well as the area of the glass which is compared directly to the suppliers invoice.
